In Your Rights at Work, another title in the Pocket Lawyer series, we called this chapter ‘The last resort – the employment tribunal’. The reason for doing so is that we believe disputes between employees and employers are best resolved informally. Employers should give employees their rights and employees should remember that sometimes life just isn’t fair. However, disputes do arise. What do you, the employer, do when you get a Form IT1 through the post?
