ABSTRACT

The ‘Useful contacts’ sections in most of the other books in the Pocket Lawyer series consist only of addresses, websites and telephone numbers mentioned in the text or suggested as sources of further information. There is no attempt at evaluation, because in general there is no choice. If you have a query about your income tax, you contact the Inland Revenue helpline or website; you can’t shop around for advice. A helpline may be less than helpful or a website may be out of date (we hasten to add that the Revenue helplines and website are, in our experience, OK) but it is all there and available.
