Rest assured that there is a great deal of regulation in place requiring tour operators to make arrangements to ensure that your money is safe if they become insolvent (that is, go bust!). There must also be evidence that the operator would be able to get you home again if they became insolvent while you were on holiday (see FAQs, p xxvii).
