The Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, Part I (as amended): Section by Section

It is interesting that section 1(1) of the 1987 Act refers to a disposal “affecting” any premises rather than “of” any premises, which would seem to be more natural. A preliminary point arose in the case of Dartmouth Court Blackheath Ltd v Berisworth Ltd [2008] EWHC 350 (Ch) in relation to the identification of “the premises” for the purposes of section 1.
