The probative weight of evidence. If one fact as explained corroborates another, it is connected by a line to the fact corroborated, etc. See the line in Figure 7.19. As soon as we believe the fact to be true the connecting line is changed to an arrow pointing in the direction of the proof (see Figure 7.20, below). If we come to question the link we remove the arrow and place a question mark against the connecting line. If we come to doubt the truth of the testimonial evidence itself we place a question mark in the symbol (see Figure 7.21, below).
