ABSTRACT
This is a set of guidelines developed by the Bank of England and the major banks designed to assist with the informal rescue of companies21 where a number of lenders are involved. The Bank of England is available to provide mediation assistance in resolving disputes amongst the lenders involved. There are no formal sanctions for breach of the guidelines other than the disapproval of the Bank of England.
