ABSTRACT
The issue of whether and to what extent a decision maker is required to provide persons affected with a statement of reasons for his decision has come to be of increasing importance in recent years. Case law shows that there is no general duty to give reasons, but that a duty based on specific circumstances may arise in individual cases.
