ABSTRACT
Crucial to the principal and agent relationship is the authority which the principal gives to the agent. An agent who acts outside his authority may be liable in damages to his principal and to the third party. In addition, the rights and liabilities of principal, agent and third party are dependent upon the agent’s authority.
