ABSTRACT

The general relationship to international law that has been established in Chapter 4 may be applied to the substance of the various specific areas of this legal system. In the next two chapters the specifics of international human rights law will be addressed from the position of the World Bank and the IMF in international law. The present chapter will discuss the link between the institutions and human rights, while the following chapter concentrates of the various sources of human rights law and the implications of these in terms of the Bank and the Fund.
