ABSTRACT

The Law relating to organ and tissue procurement, preservation, grafting and transplantation (Official Gazette No 16655, 3 June 1979) regulates the procurement of organs and tissues from living and cadaver donors for transplantation. Its main features (as identified by Aydin (1999), p 405) are: • The donor must be at least 18 years old and must sign a document in the
