ABSTRACT
The mechanism by which progress in achieving the objectives of the Convention is considered is the annual consultative meetings of the parties (Art XIV(4)). These meetings are also responsible for, inter alia, the review of its implementation, amendments to the Convention provisions and its Annexes, receipt of national reports, and dissemination of relevant scientific and technical information.
