ABSTRACT
The Regional Office of Employment Tribunals (ROET) sends a copy of every originating application to an employment tribunal in its area (save those which claim only redundancy payments) to an Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) Conciliation Officer who may telephone you about the case or even suggest a round table meeting. The degree of active involvement varies between officers.
