ABSTRACT
At the time of writing this book, a new Arrest Convention 1999 was approved by a Diplomatic Conference, which – if enacted by the UK – will have the effect of enlarging the list of claims that can be enforced in the Admiralty Court. 1 Until then, a detailed list of the heads of maritime claims which are within the admiralty jurisdiction of the High Court are found in s 20 of the Supreme Court Act (SCA) 1981.
