ABSTRACT
Commentary According to s 8 Family Law Reform Act 1969 a patient aged 16 or over is competent to consent to surgical, medical or dental treatment which, ‘in the absence of consent, would constitute a trespass…and the consent given is effective as it would be if he were of full age’.
