ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will assume that the diagrams for an instructional resource are to be prepared according to the established practice of employing a graphics professional to execute the finished artwork. However, with the advent of sophisticated graphics computer software it is becoming increasingly possible for authors to carry out all stages of the diagram development process themselves, including this final stage.
