After the long title, each Act of Parliament has a date. The following example is from the Redundancy Fund Act 1981:
After a Bill has been passed by Parliament it must be submitted for approval or rejection by the Queen. The Queen’s approval to the Act is known as the royal assent. The date shown on the Act of Parliament is the date upon which the Act received the royal assent.
