ABSTRACT
There are immigration rules that govern applications for leave to enter or remain as an adopted child. (See paras 310-16 of HC 395 as amended.)
However, there are no rules relating to applicants seeking leave to enter for the purpose of adoption. Such applications are dealt with pursuant to a policy outwith the rules.
