ABSTRACT

If the defendant is a minor he can be held liable at age 18, but depending on the particular minor’s own maturity he can be liable for damages caused by wrongful acts at a younger age. The head of the family can be liable for damage caused by minors for whom he is responsible.7 Where the minor or a mentally incapacitated party is insured or has sufficient financial means, the judge may impose liability on him if it is equitable to do so.
