ABSTRACT
A plaintiff who is a minor can sue in his own right. The court is unlikely to appoint someone to act on his behalf unless legal aid includes such costs. It is usually the parents of the plaintiff who will act on his behalf. Where a plaintiff or defendant is not mentally capable of conducting his own affairs, a guardian will be appointed on an ad hoc basis by the court.
