ABSTRACT
What makes a good lecturer? And for that matter, what makes a good staff developer? These were the key questions we set out to address in our SCED/SEDA small-grant funded research. We were awarded the grant to investigate lecturers' perceptions of effective teaching in higher education, using repertory grid techniques and to develop a toolkit to enable staff and educational developers to use repertory grid techniques in their development and training work.
