ABSTRACT
Programme instituted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1965 to help countries achieve a sustainable level of human development. Five members from Latin America and the Caribbean sit on the 36-member Executive Board, and there are UNDP representatives in 24 countries in South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
