ABSTRACT
Established in 1961, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is one of the largest independent grant-making foundations in the UK. It is dedicated to supporting initiatives to improve communities in the UK, with particular focus on the fields of the arts, national heritage, education, economic and social research, the environment and social development. The Foundation supports innovative programmes that require core funding, and has initiated a pilot loan programme offering financing to voluntary organizations and other entities with charitable aims.
