ABSTRACT

As part of this publication I wanted to include a “personal testimony” from a man who has gone through a process of change. Luke Daniels’ chapter does not fit into either “theory” or “practice” because of its unique autobiographical character. It provides an honest and moving account of Luke’s struggle to move away from the violence of his past, and of his courage in facing responsibility and moving towards change. Luke now works to educate practitioners who help violent men, and he travels around the world acting as a consultant to social care workers. (Jim Wild)
