ABSTRACT
Two case histories are presented in this chapter. The Foster family appears in detail for the first time, as the chapter analyses the complex and interrelated factors that caused the move to have disastrous consequences for at least one family. The second case history is that of the Wood family, who have already appeared in several chapters, and for whom the move may well have precipitated an equally important, but this time positive, set of changes.
