ABSTRACT

Traditional methods of teaching are currently being revised to take into account more innovative methods of teaching and learning. This provides a useful opportunity for educators to look at the different teaching and learning approaches and consider their effectiveness. As a co-ordinator of the CTI Human Services (one of the 24 national centres, which has a mission to maintain and enhance the quality of learning and to increase the effectiveness of teaching through the application of appropriate learning technologies), the author of this paper addresses how technology can be used to support teaching and learning by the “non-standard” student.
