ABSTRACT
It is all too easy to easy to think of evaluation as a process that only gets underway once a course has been produced. However, such an approach is very reactive in nature, and if evaluation late in the development process highlights basic philosophies or strategies that need to be modified, then materials that have built on these foundations will need to be changed as well, and this is not very efficient.
