ABSTRACT
In your own life you may not have had a father. Or you may never have known your father. Or there may not have been an adult in your life who was like a father to you. This chapter does not assume that every reader actually had a father. But this chapter does assume that nearly everyone wanted the experience of having a father, and everyone has at times imagined what that experience would be like.
