ABSTRACT
The association between HIV infection and suicide has continued to attract attention from researchers over the last decade. Given the complexity of the issues involved in suicidal behaviour, disagreement has arisen on the conclusions of some of these studies. The heterogeneity of the studies has made it difficult to draw generalized conclusions because of the differences in the populations studied.
