ABSTRACT
The potential sources of data available in Zimbabwe include published sources, the city councils’ valuation rolls, the deeds registry, information from the development-control system, advertised prices and information from individual and corporate actors in the land-and property-development process. Below I discuss the strengths and weaknesses of these sources and the quality of information available from each.
