ABSTRACT

A 20-year-old man presented with a 10-year history of partial seizures that had become generalized. A computed tomography scan of the brain, performed at the onset of the seizures, had shown a lesion, probably a tuberculous granuloma, in the right frontal cortex. He was started on antiepileptic drugs (carbamazepine and phenobarbital) and given a full course of antituberculous drugs. The seizures were well controlled and after about 5 years, anticonvulsants were discontinued.
