Past medical history was positive for recent gingivectomy. Family history was significant for hypothyroidism and anxiety but negative for epilepsy. The patient’s menarche had occurred at the age of 13, with initially regular menses that had become irregular, every 5-10 weeks, 3 years earlier. She had developed hirsutism during the past 3 years.
