ABSTRACT
This male patient first presented to our service at 6.5 years of age. Although there was no history suggestive of birth trauma, seizures commenced at 6 days of age with a prolonged period of unconsciousness that lasted 2 or 3 days, during which he had several convulsions. After this illness he was initially lethargic.
