ABSTRACT
After an extensive discussion explaining the limitations and risks of surgical intervention, the patient wished to pursue the presurgical evaluation. Baseline EEG continued to show epileptiform discharges in the left frontotemporal and central head regions and bursts of delta-wave slowing. A repeat MRI scan showed no significant interval change with the exception of right ventral tegmental atrophy, suggestive of wallerian degeneration.
