Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) Some 50% of patients with this syndrome have a perinuclear (p)-ANCA. This is a useful marker to differentiate the condition from Wegener’s granulomatosis, which is characterized by the presence of cytoplasmic (c)-ANCA.
