It is a small step from looking at combinations
of symptoms and signs to thinking of scoring
There have been numerous attempts to devise
such scoring systems, even equations for the
calculation of left ventricular ejection fraction,
but none of these has found common
acceptance, perhaps because they are so much
more complicated than simple investigations.
