ABSTRACT

The median nerve has attracted the attention of orthopaedic surgeons and hand surgeons for the last century like no other peripheral nerve. The disability and pain due to compression syndromes can dominate and invalidate the patient’s well-being. For obvious reasons. carpal tunnel syndrome is most predominant in this group of patients, but the other entrapment syndromes of thtr median nerve should to be kept in mind when evaluating a differential diagnosis.
