ABSTRACT

The Context project has successfully integrated students' key skills development with academic content learning. Over the three years 1997–2000, the project team has carried out a number of specific development projects at the University of Leeds, and contributed staff support to other projects elsewhere. The project is described in this example. Some work has been carried out with partner organizations external to the universities involved. These partners have provided assistance such as access to information, staff time and funds for additional work.
