ABSTRACT
As was discussed in Chapter 2, most rotating machines operate in sets which include a driver and driven machine at least and often include a transmission machine such as a gear box as well. There are various ways in which the output shaft of one machine can be linked to the input shaft of another so that transmission of power can take place.
