ABSTRACT
The rules came into operation on 21 July 1968 and contain the requirements for the surveying and assignment of freeboards to ships and the issue of load line certificates. The requirements for the marking of load lines are also specified and the Zones, Areas, and Seasonal Periods which are applicable to all ships to which the Rules apply are given in Schedule 2.
