ABSTRACT

In this chapter we will be studying the international environment from the SLEPT perspective: social and cultural, legal, economic,

political and technological dimensions as well as the 4#C' factors: corporation, countries, currency and competitors. Before doing so, it may be use­ ful to consider eight new directions of interna­ tional business and two megatrends which have been pointed out by Paliwoda and Ryans and shown in Table 2.1.
