ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will be studying the international environment from the SLEPT perspective: social and cultural, legal, economic,
political and technological dimensions as well as the 4#C' factors: corporation, countries, currency and competitors. Before doing so, it may be use ful to consider eight new directions of interna tional business and two megatrends which have been pointed out by Paliwoda and Ryans and shown in Table 2.1.
