ABSTRACT
Academics are watchers of the world: teachers are actors in it. Teachers make decisions and search for ‘right’ decisions. Sometimes research enquiries may help in the search for ‘right’ decisions. Sometimes the research evidence is in a published report which teachers can relate to their own classrooms, but other times they need to obtain the evidence themselves for every classroom is unique and one teacher’s solution may not be appropriate for others.
