ABSTRACT
The orientation towards aspects of uncertainty vs. certainty of situations seems to be of great importance for teachers’ planning and decision-making, and especially for those activities which generally are called educational style. By choosing more direct instructional methods teachers can avoid confrontation with their students’ various, often conflicting ways of thinking; more indirect or open teaching methods on the other hand offer teachers the chance to learn more about their students’ views of the world.
