Towards a Critical Educational Science

Concluding his article ‘A preface to critical theory’, James Farganis argues:

…the problem of how to establish an emancipatory or critical social science remains. How does one move from the theoretical critique to the necessary action that will bring about the desired end? Since critical theory professes a unity of theory and practice, the question is a legitimate one.1
