ABSTRACT

Grouping is an operation that is particularly useful when there are many objects, either 2-D or 3-D, that need to be grouped together as if they were one object. This grouped object can then be transformed in various ways, e.g. through movement. Subsequent changes to any member of the group can only be carried out if the group is un-grouped, thus allowing individual objects to be selected.
