ABSTRACT
The article considers various aspects of historical sources and their use. For there to be any relevance in considering how sources are used and interpreted, it is necessary to make the assumption that history is based on sources. In the absence of such an assumption the article’s whole reason for being would be dramatically restricted. The correct answer is therefore (d).
