ABSTRACT
For the great majority of project stakeholders, risk is too important to their continuing survival and success to be ignored or dealt with haphazardly Modern society's expectations of corporate behaviour and public accountability demand that organisations give due regard to the risks they face (or which they create for others). Accountability has become a critical facet of the ways in which organisations operate in the modern world.
