ABSTRACT

The first edition of this book, Language for Learning Across the Curriculum, was based upon Speaking and Listening: Stage One and Speaking and Listening: Stage Two (Hayden 1996). Since writing the original books in 1996, Sue Hayden has worked in partnership with Emma Jordan to develop the 'Language for Learning' project. Language for Learning is a joint health and education project providing a collaborative approach to training those working with children who have speech, language or communication difficulties. Since April 2000, a range of training courses has been developed to support inclusion of children with language and communication difficulties across all stages of the curriculum - from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 4.
