ABSTRACT
Child and family policy and practice are currently in the most actively developmental phase experienced for many years. Recent policy initiatives are driving changes in the structures, concepts and operations of children’s services and within these changes the development of ‘joined-up’ services is a central theme. Developments in children’s services in the last decade have increasingly focused on inter-agency co-operation and multi-disciplinary teams as key features of quality and effective service delivery.
