All decent people live beyond their incomes nowadays, and those who aren’t respectable live beyond other peoples. A few gifted individuals manage to do both.

Most schools channel a lot of energy into setting the budget as we have discussed in Chapters 2 and 3 but this is not where it ends. In setting a budget the school has worked out what it plans to do over the coming months and years, but how will you determine if these ideas were turned into actions and whether the costs and timings were as you planned?
