ABSTRACT

The preschools and infant-toddler centres of Reggio Emilia in northern Italy are recognised around the world as examples of high quality, childcentred early years settings. Thousands of people have taken part in study tours to Reggio, visited the ‘Hundred Languages of Children Exhibition’ or attended training on what is called the Reggio Approach. There are now many settings in the United Kingdom that have introduced new ways of working after they have been inspired by what they have seen or heard.
